Coffee Semifreddo With Chocolate Curls & Peanuts Brittle
Food is never just food I believe lt's story telling,It brings people together and It speaks a universal language..l love to play around in My kitchen and the thrill of being able to recreate a Something new and sharing it with friends and family is my passion for cooking.....Today i am sharing a Italian dessert....Something new,Out of my comfort zone and Something that showcase the sublime beauty of Italian cuisine.'Semifreddo' is a melt in mouth velvety textured Italian frozen dessert and it is often served as a sliced like cake.Basically this dessert is somewhere in between mousse and ice cream and made from combing a custard with whipped cream and baking then freezing until firm....The word Semifreddo means in Italian ' half cold' & it marries the reachness of ice cream with ethereal texture of frozen mousse.I am sure there are very people on this earth who don't swear by this dessert. My only regret is that I didn't make it sooner.
My version of Semifreddo is different because it is eggless & has crunchy taste of peanuts brittle ......So what's great about this dessert- Easy to make,Crowd pleasure, Makes people ( Husband) take you seriously as a cook and Big smile.....If you never experienced Semifreddo before, you are in for a right royal treat.......So if you'd like to try making eggless Italian Semifreddo ,here's the recipe....
