French Fruit Tart With Coconut Custard Pastry Cream

I could not have been more excited to create this classic dessert that was not a cake, Sweet fresh fruits layered on the top with the filling of creamy custard like pastry cream in a rich flaky pie crust!! This gorgeous fruit tart can impress anyone you plan on serving this to!!The wonderful thing about this classic dessert I love is that here's minimal bake time.The crust is only baked for 15 minutes.Enjoy this classic French fruit tart with your friends & family!!!

Ingredients:

  1. All purpose flour-1 1/4 cup
  2. Sugar-3 ts
  3. Butter-1/2 cup
  4. Oil-1 ts
  5. Water-3 ts
  6. Milk-1 cup
  7. Greated coconut-1/2 cup
  8. Corn starch-3 ts

Procedure:

  • Preheat the oven to190'c and greased the baking tin.
  • Combine all purpose flour,sugar, butter, oil & water.Just bind all together don't over knead.Gather everything and form a soft dough.
  • Roll it on a rolling pin and place it on a greased Tart mould & gently press it toward the bottom & edges.

  • .Bake for 190' c for 10-12 minutes.Unmould and cool.
  • Blend grated coconut with milk.Heat this mixture in a pan.Add sugar & mix well,Mix corn starch with water and add it to a pan and cook over low flame stirring occasionally till the mixture thickens.Cool it in the fridge.
  • Fill Tart with custard and refrigerate it till the custard set.Just before serving top Tart with sliced fresh fruits strawberries,kiwi,grapes,pomegranates etc
