Cucumber Raita

I am sure many of yo must be be aware of the word Raita.Raita is one of the most popular Indian yogurt based side dish and the base for Raita is always fresh natural yogurt.The Raita is cool and refreshing with a nice texture from different fruits and vegetables and flavoured mildly with spices like cumin powder, salt ,Chaat masala.


Cucumber Raita is a very refreshing ,quick & easy to make raita.I love cucumber Raita specially during summer because it offers cooling effect to body.I also loved this Raita with spicy food since cucumber balances the heat and mellows down the spicyness of the food.So let's learn to make this quick and delicious Raita....


Ingredients: I 

  1. Cucumber grated-1cup
  2. Curd -1 cup
  3. Roasted cumin powder-1/2 ts
  4. Chaat masala-1/4 ts
  5. Salt to taste 
  6. Pinch of Red chilli powder

Procedure:

  • Whisk the curd well with required salt,roasted cumin powder,chaat masala and little bit red chilli powder.

  •  Add grated cucumber to the curd.

    and Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve chilled.
