Spicy Palak Shorba

Palak shorba is rich in taste and very delicious with lots of nutrition.Palak shorba is one of the best way to include spinach in your diet.When comes to vegetables if your kid is fussy &choosy,Palak shorba is ideal for baby's.Winter is the time when I keep experimenting with different flavours of soup and try to add fresh & healthy ingredients.According to me one of the best thing about Palak shorba is that even is it one bowl,so much nutrition is loaded.Bright green and creamy,a bowl of spinach soup is a delight to see & eat.I'm not exaggerating but a dinner of simple soup make feel so much more active in the morning.


Ingredients:

  1. Spinach-1bunch
  2. Bottle guard-1/2cup chopped 
  3. Onion-1chopped
  4. Chopped green chillies & ginger-1ts
  5. Boiled rice-2ts

Procedure:

  • Break the stem of spinach leaves and blench in plenty of water  & also boil chopped bottle guard.
  • Put blenched  spinach and boiled bottle guard in a blender and make a purée and strain it.
  • Heat oil in a pan ,add cumin seeds & cinnamon when seeds began to crackle , add chopped green chillies & ginger and sauté for few minutes.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté till turn light brown in colour.
  • Add spinach purée and enough water to correct the consistency.Add peas,salt & bring mixture to a boil.
  • Garnish with boiled rice or dash of cream.
