Easy Vegan Falafel

Falafel is a deep fried ball made from ground chickpeas and parsley.Falafel is a traditional Egyptian and middle eastern food.It is the first thing I order whenever we eat middle eastern.There are many ways of enjoying Falafel.It can be served as a snacks or stuffed inside pita bread.This middle eastern delight is quite filling,looks & tastes exotic .What I love so much about Falafel is how easy it is!The only preparation you have to do is soak beans overnight.

Ingredients:

  1. Chickpeas-2cup
  2. Chopped parsley-1/2 cup
  3. Roasted cumin powder-1/2 ts 
  4. Red chilli powder-1/2ts
  5. Salt to taste 

Procedure:

  • Wash & soak chickpeas overnight.Rinse & drain them completely.
  • Transfer to a processor,add chopped parsley,roasted cumin powder,red chilli powder,salt and process to a coarse texture.No water is needed.
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and make a ball and fry it in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Place them on an absorbent paper. Serve them with Hummus or Tahini sauce.
