Low Calorie Hung Curd Shrikhand
Sometimes the simplest things in life tends to satisfy us the most.This Shrikhand recipe is one such simple pleasure for me.Shrikhand is a healthy Indian sweet made from hung curd and It is one of the main deserts in Gujarat and Maharashtra.it is very simple to prepare and tastes yummy.I have prepared kesar pista shrikhand but it can be prepared with a variety of flavours like mango,strawberry,elaichi etc.Rich,creamy and decadent sweet yogurt with a hint of cardamom emanates a distinct earthy aroma that makes it unique.You can of course serve this on its own but it looks pretty when topped with pistachio or any nuts.
Though only 2 or 3 ingredients are required but what you really need is patience to this scrumptious dessert because of its lengthy process....I have prepared just one cup of it to finish by today itself as I didn't want to store it in the refrigerator,but you can increase the quantity according to your need and it is effortless sweet dessert that you can make to satisfy your sweet tooth and also healthy too.Enjoy this delicious and absolutely healthy dessert....
Ingredients:
- Plain yogurt or curd-1cup
- Powdered Sugar-1/4cup
- Milk-1ts
- Nuts-1Ts
- Cardamom powder-1/4ts
Procedure:
- To prepare hung curd: Take a dip bowl and a strainer.Put Cotten cloth over the strainer.Add plain curd and tie the edges of cloth.Now keep this at least for2-3 hours.
- Take hung curd into a bowl and add powdered sugar.Add milk and cardamom powder and whisk well using spoon.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and serve chilled.
