Ananaas Sheera/ Pineapple Kesari Halwa

I am sure you all must be loving Sooji Halwa/Sheera.Today I am sharing variation of it 'Pineapple Halwa 'for you all that can be made instantly and quickly.This Halwa is basically sooji Halwa in which pineapple has been added to give it a tasty twist.Most of the ingredients will be same as basic sheers but procedure is slightly different.I have always loved pineapples and love to use them in my cooking or baking.I wanted to try a desert with pineapple so I made this pineapple  halwa.
This pineapple halwa has slightly tangy flavour along with the sweetness.....It's all good when the dish you make reflect the feeling,the joy and the warmth that you have for the people from whom you are cooking.In the end the happy smiles and making memories is all that matters....So if you love both pineapple and Halwa then Do try this classic and divine tasting pineapple Kesari I am sure you will love it!!Here you go....


Ingredients:

  1. Pineapples-1cup
  2. Sooji/semolina-1/2cup
  3. Milk-1/2cup
  4. Sugar-1/3cup
  5. Raisins-10-12
  6. Saffron 

Procedure:

  • Purée the pineapple chunk In a blender to a smooth paste.Heat ghee in a Kadhai.Add the pineapple puree with some pineapple chunks  and keep stirring till the water evaporates and the mixture thickens.
  • Dry roast sooji until it turns slightly golden brown.Transfer to a plate and cool it.
  • Slowly add sooji to the Kadhai and stirr continuously.Add milk and water according to need.mix well.
  • Finally add sugar ,saffron and raisins.Mix well and Switchoff the flame.
  • Garnish with chopped nuts.
