Bruschetta is a fresh,simple and delicious Italian appetiser and a perfect way to capture the flavours of fresh ripe tomatoes,basil& olive oil.It can be prepared in minutes and enjoyed anytime of the year.I make brushchetta often ,especially with fresh basil on my patio!I find a tip to follow to scoop out the inside of tomatoes (save to add to sauce) , then dice & continue with other ingredients.This versatile starter quickly climbed to the top of my easy to put together appetizerlist.Its absolutely delicious & gorgeously colourful and anyone you serve it to will be so impressed and so ready to dig in !!!!
Ingredients:
- Italian bread loaf -1
- Tomatoes-3-4 chopped
- Basil leaves-1bunch
- Olive oil-4ts
- Italian seasoning-1ts
- Red chilli flakes-1/2ts
- Balsamic vinegar-1 ts
Procedure:
- Using a sharp knife,dice the tomatoes as small as you can.
- Add chopped basil to the diced tomatoes in a bowl.
- Add extra virgin olive oil,sea salt,fresh ground black pepper,Italian seasoning,balsamic vinegar and little bit chilliflakes.
- Cut thick slice of Italian bread loaf and toast them.You can toast the bread in the microwave.
- Apply tomato mixture to the bread slice and warm the slices for3-4 minutes in microwave.
- Serve hot and enjoy!!
