Parathas are the fancier cousin of the Indian flat bread and they are made using pretty the same technique only with more ghee and layering.It is the most versatile dish & can be enjoyed anytime of the day and having Paratha for breakfast with a cup of hot tea and pickles....yum combination.
I usually make different types of stuffed parathas on weekends.Cabbage paratha is one of them and my family loves it.It is uniquely flavorful flatbread and comes with the goodness of shredded cabbage and very delicious,healthy and easy to make and a great way to sneak cabbage into yours kids diet.It is best enjoyed with any Raita,pickles or chutney...
Ingredients:
- Whole wheat flour-2cup
- Curd-1/2cup
- Ghee-2ts
- Salt to taste
- Greated cabbage-1cup
- Green chilies-1 chopped
Procedure:
- Take wheat flour, greated cabbage,chopped green chillies and ginger in a bowl.Add ghee, red chilli powder and salt and curd,Mix them properly.
- Add little water according to need and make a smooth dough.Rest the dough for 10-15minutes.Take a medium size ball of dough and roll it on a rolling pin.
- Heat the tawa and place the paratha on tawa.Fry the paratha from both sides by applying ghee until paratha is well cooked.Cabbage paratha is ready and serve with pickles or chutney.
