Winter Special Gur Makhana Or Caramelised Lotus Seeds

Do you know Phool Makhana/Lotus Seeds/Foxnut has lots of nutritional benefits and very less in calories So that's why I decided to make a very special snacks from Lotus Seeds for my family in this winter.Gur Makhana is consumed specially in winters because they provide heat to the body.Best part is that this snack comes together with handful of ingredients and minimal efforts.
Its crispy  , very yummy snacks and pretty simple and  also great snacks for toddlers and weight loss watcher as it's low cholesterol .You can consume this light and healthy snack whenever you want.Who doesn't love these beautiful delicious little wonders!!I am sure you would love these healthy foxnuts So Enjoy eating it without fail,But first note down it's recipe......

Ingredients:

  1. Phool Makhana/Lotus Seeds-1 cup
  2. Jaggery-1/2 cup
  3. Desiccated Coconut-1/4 cup
  4. Ghee-2 ts
  5. Salt-Pinch off

Procedure: 

  • Heat ghee in a pan ,Add lotus seeds and cook till they become light brown in colour and brittle.
  • Combine jaggery with 1/8 cup of water and boil until thick.Mix desiccated coconut with Lotus seeds and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  • Pour jaggery syrup ,salt and take it off the flame and keep stirring continuously.Allow it to cool completely.Store in airtight containers.
