Mango Parfait

Just when it's raining mangoes everywhere,it's time to teem the delicious mango with yogurt and enjoy the summer fullest.Actually I am a sucker for mango or anything with mango!!The inspiration for today's recipe comes from the parfait.....Parfait is a rich and cold traditional French dessert and usually made with whipped cream and egg but using yogurt make it less rich but no less luxurious.The French word for perfect is parfait.So I am here today with a refreshing summer treat Mango parfait and celebrating sunshine with this royal treat!!The best part is this Mango Parfait It takes no prep work so easy to make and tastes out of the world.
My version of mango parfait is made of layers of honey sweetened yogurt,mango purée and crushed granola with cubes of slice mango...Honey accentuate the natural sweetness of mango,yogurt add a touch of tang and crunchy nuts add a depth of flavour!Actually all of my favourite flavor in one glass....Creamy,sweet & Crunchy.....Sound delicious and absolutely healthy and we can have it either breakfast or dessert.I like to blurring the lines between breakfast and dessert ,is my calling in life and this mango parfait is my latest masterpiece.Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.....with much love from "Nia's mommy food trail"......

Ingredients:

  1. Mango-1 medium 
  2. Yogurt-200 gm
  3. Granola -1/4 cup crushed 
  4. Mango cubes-1/8 cup
  5. Honey-2 ts

Procedure:

  • Put chopped mango in a blender and make a smooth puree.Mix honey if needed.
  • Whisk yogurt to soft peak and sweetened with honey.
  • Now take the serving glass,First add mango purée then yogurt then crushed granola
    and repeat the same process and finally top with chopped mangoes.Chill it and serve.
