Mango Burfi Or Fudge

Burfi is a Hindi word for the fudge and most popular Sweet all over India from auspicious holidays to family get-together.....My concept of Burfi is Something that's more like a smooth texture ,Something that melt in the mouth and Something that have teasingly chewy consistency with a buttery mouthfeel and Something that show your loved one how much you appreciate the sweetness they bring to your life......And what a better way to incorporate India cherished Burfi with India's favourite fruit Mango!
This fudge Burris are so delicately fragrant,gorgeous ,addictive and perfect way to enjoy the mangoes....In My words 'A marriage of exotic juicy and fruity mango with the creamy milk fragrant with saffron and cardamoms,Culminates in a sensuous,ambrosial treat that tastes heavenly ' Do try and let me know how you liked it!!!

Ingredients:

  1. Fresh mango-1 big 
  2. Milk powder-1 cup
  3. Paneer or cottage cheese -1/2 cup
  4. Ghee-2 ts
  5. Sugar-1/2 cup
  6. Cardamom-2to3
  7. Saffron strands-5 to7
  8. Nuts-handful 
  9. Milk-1/4 cup

Procedure:

  • Puree the chopped Mango in a blender.Heat this purée In a pan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add crumbled paneer,cardamom  and mix well.
  • Whisk milk with milk powder and add to the pan and cook for sometimes.


  • Now add 1ts ghee and sugar and cook the mixture on low flame with continuous stirring until it forms a thick fudge consistency.
  • Soak saffron strands in the water and add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes and Switchoff the flame.
  • Grease a tray with ghee and pour this mixture into the tray and allow it to Cool and set then cut it into desired shapes and garnish with nuts and Enjoy.....
