Healthy Eggplant or Baingan pakora

Nothing can be as blissful as enjoying rains with the amazing combo of tea and pakora.I don't know who invented pakoras but one thing I know is that it is one of the most loved monsoon snack by all Indian specially when we have some tea to get along....Bliss!Today I am sharing the recipe of simple Baingan pakoras along with hot cup of masala chai.Baingan pakoras is a yummy tea time snacks and very easy ,simple & can be made within some minutes.This crunchy snacks has various versions and names at different corners of our country.I try various kind of pakoras at home ,be it any vegetables like capsicum,French bean & they taste quite good.So keep trying new stuff it surely Add on some innovation & variety in your cooking.....For making baingan pakora oval shape egg plant are chosen,Sliced in round shape and Coated with Indian spices,Shallow fried using mustard oil till they are golden and crisp and Served as a perfect side dish that's make the meal complete.Although baingan pakora can be made using any regular oil but the mustard oil gives an amazing aroma and the authentic flavour to the dish.Following the same method varieties of pakoras can be prepared like onions,potatoes etc.Earlier even I use to make it occasionally but now I Make it frequently.So let's just checkout the recipe.....


Ingredients:

  1. Began/gram flour-1/2cup
  2. Red chilli powder-1/4ts
  3. Turmeric powder-1/4ts
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil for frying
  6. Baingan-1 long

Procedure:

  • Cut baingan into thin round slices.Sprinkle&apply salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder &chaat masala on the slices and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Make a paste of besan with water & salt.Coat the slices with batter and deep fry in hot oil till it turns golden brown & crispy from all the sides.
  • Drain on absorbent paper & serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
