Sahi Rabri Shots

Today is an ultra special day because I am sharing the kind of deliciousness - Rich,thick &creamy to satisfy your sweet cravings and Every spoonful in your mouth will take you on a joyride'Sahi Rabri Shots '......Sahi Rabri or Rabadi is a Rajasthan delicacy and here it is served as a dessert and it can serve alone or over Malpua even jalebi ...It's superbly delicious....Sahi Rabri has nice aromatic flavour of kesar /saffron and elaichi/ cardamom and it's soft,luscious and creamy texture is hard to resist. This is an elegant dessert for get-together and parties plus it can be prepared ahead of time....This recipe use traditional cooking method to prepare nice and thick Rabri.I always love this creamy,smooth & chilled fantasy from my childhood and I have such fond memories of this dessert.
This dessert was a regular affair at my home,My mom made this for us in all special or ordinary occasions.Yes!we in the family can have It daily s our dinner dessert.The recipe I have used has traditional methodology in which the milk is reduced in a large thick bottom pan in slow heat and all has small pieces of solidified milk cream.Although it is time consuming but it doesn't have so many steps,I am sure you'll love it....The slow cooking method gives it a thick and creamy texture to the dessert and It's so amazing,Just top it with some fresh rose petals and lots and lots of chopped dry fruits ,saffron and you are good to go..So Are you ready to impress your family and friends with a fancy dessert then why don't you try this Rabri Shots and Now let's learn how to make this awesome traditional Rabri shots.....


Ingredients:

  1. Milk-1/2 litre
  2. Sugar-1Ts
  3. Saffron strands-7-9
  4. Cardamom powder-1/2ts 
  5. Almonds and pistachio-8-10 chopped 

Procedure:

  • Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan or nonstick pan on medium flame.When milk starts to boil reduce flame to low heat.Stir at regular intervals of 4-5 minutes not continuously.
  • Scrap small cream chunks collected on the side of pan into milk this will add delicious chunks in Rabri.Add cardamom powder,saffron strands and mix well.
  • Cook until milk is reduced to 1/3 of original quantity.Add sugar and stir to dissolve it.
  • Garnish it with chopped almonds ,cashew,dry rose petals and pistachio.Cook for 2 minutes and Switchoff the flame.Refrigerate It for at least 2 hours before serving.
