Papad Ki Sabzi

Papad ki sabzi is a traditional recipe from Rajasthan which can be prepared instantly anytime.This is a quick recipe when you don't want to spend lot of time in the kitchen you can make papad sabzi.Enjoy this tempting,easy to make sabzi with chapattis,missi roti etc.As my Mom's home have been no onion and no garlic home for a very long time so most of the dishes are still made with the same way without onion or garlic and so on me.
You can add garlic paste  chopped onions to add more taste to this dish.I used Bikaneri masala papad which are made with Yellow lentils for making this curry...Actually I picked up few packs of papad on my recent trip to Rajasthan and It tastes so fabulous not only in the curry even roasted on open flame....


Ingredients:

  1. Papad-3-4 piece large size
  2. Curd -1Ts
  3. Chopped tomatoes-1med size
  4. Chopped ginger and green chillies-1ts
  5. Kastoori methi/ dry fenugreek leaves-1ts

Procedure :

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds ,hing /asafoetida .When seeds began to crackle then add chopped ginger and green chillies and sauté for while .Add chopped tomatoes and sauté till tomatoes soften.
  • Take curd in a bowl and whisk well .Add spices( red chillipowder,coriander & turmeric powder and Garam masala )& mix well.
  • Add this curd mixture to the pan and cook till oil separates from the masala.Add little water and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Break the papad into small pieces and put them in the gravy.
  • Garnish with dried kastoori methi and serve hot.
