Today I just want to share with you the beautiful pesto sauce recipe and it is one of my favourite sauce.Pesto sauce is a classic sauce and very fresh and very green.You can spread it on sandwich or toss it with pasta ,eat it with raw tomatoes and basically have fun.The only thing is you can't heat it,It loses its freshness and delicate flavour.This sauce is just a beautiful balance of flavour put together,it is delicately balanced with the freshness of tender basil leaves and the carspess of walnuts and smoothness of cheese and when you bite into it yo can't help .........It's like a beautiful relationship that you want to keep fresh with much warmness from'Nia's mommy food trail'...
Ingredients:
- Fresh basil leaves-2 cup
- Walnuts-1/2 cup
- Garlic cloves-5 minced
- Cheese-1/2 cup
- Chopped green chillies-1/2 ts
- Olive oil-1/2 cup
- Lemon juice-1 ts
Procedure:
- Place fresh basil leaves,walnuts,minced garlic,chopped green chillies ,grated cheese into the bowl of food processor and add little water to it and pulse for several times.
- Slowly add olive oil while running the food processor.It will help it emulsify and keep oil from separating.
- Add some salt ,lemon juice and scrapdown the sides of processor with a spatula.
- Store in air tight container and Pour little olive oil over the surface and refrigerate for upto a week.
