Bread Poha

Have I told you that I prefer breakfast more than dinner ..Well,I'm a breakfast kinda girl Even as a kid I used to eat proper breakfast ,Growing up I always had Parathas,poha at my home Since I started cooking my breakfast habit has changed a lot  I started trying out more easy and simple dishes like sandwich ,bread poha.......Bread poha- poha with a variation just put bread pieces in place of chiwda.It is a simple,healthy hand tasty breakfast recipe can be prepared within some minutes and a good choice to recycle your 2-3 days old bread or veggies.
This dish gets soggy very fast so you need to make it just before eating.Extra veggies can be added to make it more flavourful,my recipe is mildly spiced but is a perfect mix of flavors.I believe the morning breakfast should have subtle & pleasing flavours.Start your day with a healthy bread poha recipe:)


Ingredients:

  1. Bread slices-8
  2. Peanuts-1/4 cup
  3. Onion-1 chopped 
  4. Tomato-1 chopped 
  5. Capsicum-1 chopped 
  6. Chopped green chillies-1/2 ts

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in a pan .Add mustard seeds when seeds began to crackle,add chopped onions and sauté till turn brown in colour.Add green chillies and peanuts and sauté for a while.
  • Add chopped capsicum,tomatoes and peas,sauté till it get soften.Add spices  (red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt) and little bit lemon juice, Mix well.
  • Then add finely chopped bread pieces and mix well.

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.
