Pasta Arrabiata is an Italian specialty which is popular due to its spicy taste .Arrabiata is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic,tomatoes and red chilli pepper cooked in olive oil.Arrabiatta means angry in Italian and the name of the sauce may be due to heat of red chilli pepper.Arrabiata pasta is my husband favourite among all the pastas.The reason is obvious It's hot & spicy.If We have pasta in pastamania ,it will be always arrabiata pasta
.
Ingredients:
- Pasta-1 1/2cup
- Olive oil2-3ts
- Oregano-1ts
- Red chilli flakes-1/2ts
- Onion-1large size chopped
- Ripe Tomatoes-1 1/2 cup chopped
Procedure:
- Boil pasta in a large pot with lots of water, a teaspoon of olive oil and salt,drain and Setaside.
- Roast garlic ,onion and tomatoes in a pan in 1ts olive oil and add red chilli flakes.cool this as well.Blend them together to a purée and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Pour the purée and mix well until it reaches a desired consistency.
- Add salt,crushed black pepper and boiled pasta.Toss well until mixed
- Garnish with oregano, red chilli flakes and basil leaves.Serve hot.
