My Version Of An Alcohol Free Eggless Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a popular Italian coffee cheese cake and its easy to make and no bake dessert .Tira-mi-su which means lift me up was so named because it's ingredients cream, cheese,coffee and wine are all mood busters.Here l made Indian version of tiramisu,This is twisted or maybe more twisted.My variations are-In a classic tiramisu recipe mascarpone cheese and lady fingers are used but in this recipe I'm using regular Indian cheese and eggless vanilla sponge cake and I made it eggless.Tiramisu is assembled in many different ways  like round cake,fancy glasses and the list goes on....I like to keep it simple just a square and  One Other thing is that dust with cocoa or coffee powder before serving....So sit back and enjoy my version of Tiramisu...To the experimental vegan kitchen we go!

Ingredients:

  1. Eggless sponge cake-6inch
  2. Instant coffee powder-1ts
  3. Vanilla custard powder-3ts
  4. Milk-1 1/2cup
  5. Sugar-3-6ts
  6. Whipped cream-1cup
  7. Cheese/paneer/hung curd-6ts

Procedure:

  • Heat acup of water In a pan and add instant coffee powder and mix.Setaside to cool.
  • Slice the vanilla sponge cake horizontally into three slices.
  • Mix custard powder in little cold milk and heat remaining milk In a pan.Add custard powder mix and sugar.Cook stirring continuously till it begins to thicken.Setaside to cool.
  • Take cheese into the bowl and add icing sugar and mix well.Then Add whipped cream and stir well.
  • Mix this cream mix into the custard mixture and stir well.
  • Place base slices of cake in a bowl.Pour some of coffee decotion over it and let it soak well.Spread some of custard cream mixture over it place another cake slice and soak in the coffee decoction and spread some of the custard cream mix all over it.Cover it with the third cake slice and soak in the remaining coffee decoction and pour the remaining custard mix over it and spread it over the top.
  • Put some coffee powder In a small sieve and sprinkle it all over.Keep it in the refrigerator to set for3-4 hours.Serve chilled.
